# Draft Pick

Draft Pick is BorgPad’s curation layer — where selected projects are publicly showcased to gauge interest, assess investor quality, and validate their readiness to launch.

#### 🎯 What is Draft Pick?

A public shortlist of promising projects that have caught our attention. It’s the **first step before a full-scale launch** — a way to test the waters and collect early signals from the community.

#### 🩺 Why It Matters

For **projects**, Draft Pick acts as a **Health Check**:

* Do investors show interest?
* What kind of investors are engaging?
* Is the positioning strong enough?
* Are the KPIs compelling?

This step allows founders to:

* **Measure traction** (investor count, wallet quality, early commits)
* **Get strategic feedback** before it’s too late
* **Adjust tokenomics or go-to-market** based on real-world signals

For **BorgPad**, it helps us:

* Identify which projects are community-validated
* Design **tailored launch strategies** (e.g. LBP format, pricing model, timing)
* Better allocate resources toward high-potential teams

#### 🔧 What Happens After?

Projects in Draft Pick may:

* Receive offers for incubation, grants, or liquidity support
* Get introduced to the BorgPad ecosystem (partners, investors, tooling)
* Be onboarded into a **custom launch flow** (Floor, Float, or Fixed FDV etc.)

As a BorgPad investor or contributor, you can:

🧪 **Commit to show support**

When a project enters Draft Pick, users can submit a **paid commitment (0.005 SOL)** to signal genuine interest.

This serves multiple purposes:

* Filters out bots and spam
* Helps us assess **wallet quality and engagement**
* Provides a reliable **traction score** to guide launch decisions

🎟️ **Bonus: Early commitment = Whitelist spot**

Users who commit during Draft Pick are eligible to be **whitelisted for the future launch** of that project — giving them priority access when it goes live.
